e=mc2: 103 years later, Einstein's proven right
PARIS (AFP) – It's taken more than a century, but Einstein's celebrated formula e=mc2 has finally been corroborated, thanks to a heroic computational effort by French, German and Hungarian physicists.
A brainpower consortium led by Laurent Lellouch ************SPAM/BANNEAR************ France's Centre for Theoretical Physics, using some ************SPAM/BANNEAR************ the world's mightiest supercomputers, have set down the calculations for estimating the mass ************SPAM/BANNEAR************ protons and neutrons, the particles at the nucleus ************SPAM/BANNEAR************ atoms.
According to the conventional model ************SPAM/BANNEAR************ particle physics, protons and neutrons comprise smaller particles known as quarks, which in turn are bound by gluons.
The odd thing is this: the mass ************SPAM/BANNEAR************ gluons is zero and the mass ************SPAM/BANNEAR************ quarks is ************SPAM/BANNEAR************ five percent. Where, therefore, is the missing 95 percent?
The answer, according to the study published in the US journal Science on Thursday, comes from the energy from the movements and interactions ************SPAM/BANNEAR************ quarks and gluons.
In other words, energy and mass are equivalent, as Einstein proposed in his Special Theory ************SPAM/BANNEAR************ Relativity in 1905.
The e=mc2 formula shows that mass can be converted into energy, and energy can be converted into mass.
By showing how much energy would be released if a certain amount ************SPAM/BANNEAR************ mass were to be converted into energy, the equation has been used many times, most famously as the inspirational basis for building atomic weapons.
But resolving e=mc2 at the scale ************SPAM/BANNEAR************ sub-atomic particles -- in equations called quantum chromodynamics -- has been fiendishly difficult.
"Until now, this has been a hypothesis," France's National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS) said proudly in a press release.
"It has now been corroborated for the first time."

Ahora bien, la importancia de la formula aplicada en el Tiempo, es que hay que recordar que en matematicas las equivalencias se dan hacia ambos lados de la formula.
Es decir que si E=MC2 Entonces bien M=E/C2 y C2=M/E
Al mirar el espacio vemos una ilusion del tiempo, y para poder determinar la antiguedad de la luz que estamos percibiendo entonces debemos concentrarnos en la velocidad de la luz a la cual viajo por el espacio. Para esto es vital entonces determinar cuanto es la masa del objeto que emitio la luz y dividirlo por la energia de la cual se desprendio.
Es por ello que al igual que un balon en un telar, el peso del balon hace que el telar se curve y por ello forma una curvatura espacial. De tal manera que las cosas suceden porque hay objetos en el espacio y porque estos tienen masa y en virtud de ellos se percibe el tiempo.
Notese una vez mas que esta comprobado que el espacio se expande a una velocidad estable, y hay un enorme concepto de caracter mas espiritual que cientifico incorporado en la Ciencia, cuando se afirma que el universo es limitado y esta en continua expansion, porque la pregunta inmediata que se hace es, entonces hacia cual espacio el universo se esta desplazando, y que hay mas alla de esos limites.
