Costa Rica Voted Best Stand At World Travel Market Show
http://www.insidecostarica.com/dailynews/2011/november/12/costarica11111204.htm
So now that so many Americans have been robbed, over charged, and murdered in Costa Rica without any investigation or punishment to the criminals and the Americans and Canadian tourism is drying up fast, they are trying to lure the British market into the Costa Rican trap. For those poor Brits that make the mistake of traveling there, it will ************SPAM/BANNEAR************ be a short time after a few of them are robbed and murdered that the word will spread fast and the british will stop coming. If they wanted to recreate a real Costa Rica experience with their set up at the travel show, they would have charged anyone visiting their display $50 to enter it and then stolen their wallets and cell phones or any other personal belongings they had, and then charged them $26 to exit the display. That's what really lays in waiting for 90% of Costa Rica's tourists whom in the eyes of all Costa Ricans are nothing more than easy targets.

[TD="class: content-cell"]Typical Costa Rican lies and ignorance with reports the decline their tourism is due to the international crisis? No you idiots, the decline is due to the Costa Rica crisis! Out of control crime against tourists, over priced everything from food and drinks, to hotels, car rentals, tours, taxes, bad service, bad Tico attitudes against foreigners, poor road conditions, and wide spread theft of tourists throughout the whole country. That's why tourism is down in Costa Rica and a lot more that 4% as again falsely reported and it's dropping further and further every month.Costa Rica tourism is down over 60%. If it were because of the international crisis as some idiot Costa Rica ICT official claims, then why would Panama's tourism be up? It's because Panama is much less expensive, safer and tourist friendly than Costa Rica and more tourists are finding that out every day and choosing Panama over Costa Rica. You can't blame them.

Panama gives tourist free health insurance for 30 days when you land at Panama city airport, an food is cheaper to eat, so why is Costa Rica losing tourist your quess is as good as mine !!!

The numbers vary by study but 12 happy to 24 unhappy is a good average. The real problem is this is 2012 and while a happy customer may post his or her find to their friends on Facebook and at the water cooler, the dissatisfied customer will tell a million of their closest strangers.

[TD="class: content-cell"]This will continue and basically eliminate CR as a great tourist desitination. Prices in CR are going to the moon if all this 15-20 percent tax comes about. Will destroy the lower and middle class and their will be nothing but whores and bandits on the streets and in the bars.good luck CR but not looking good.. People in the US are definitely talking about CR with each other and a lot more people are saying they will not return to CR. Very negative comments in travel blogs and the travel agency business is not pushing CR anymore no matter what CR's travel ministry is saying. CR is turning a blind eye to their problems and they expect others to do the same and that will not happen because communications among travelers is so very easy and people do talk and text each other. The word is out about CR without a doubt.

Many people are finding out that CR is not living up to the reputation of a green country, it is all hype, and with the increasingly greedy government and lack of good service here it is obvious. Now all the downtown stores are full of crap from China, in the years to come it may get worse... they may even tax the tax free zone...?

[TD="class: content-cell"]While it is necessary to attract new tourists, it is just as important, if not more important to encourage repeat business. This cannot be accomplished unless the first time tourist has a great time and value for the money spent. This is where CR fails miserably. Between the infrastructure, grossly inflated prices and rampant crime the new tourists goes home and tells all their friends...forget the land of Pura Vida. Word of mouth is the best advertising!! I wonder if the Deputados have been to Panama lately to experience their road system, prices and clean environment. I would guess not or if they have, refuse to admit it is better due to the Tico arrogance.
