MAES NO SOY MUY DIESTRO EN LA COMPUTACION PERO OCUPO INSTALAR UN DISCO DURO EN UNA COMPU DE UN COMPA SUPUESTAMENTE DICE EL COMPA QUE EL BIOS LE RECONOCE QUE ESTA AHI, PERO QUE WN MIPC NO APARECE

loco INSTALAR UN DISCO DURO ES LO MAS FACIL Q HAY EN LA VIDA 1-apague la compu 2- abrala 3- pongale corriente y peguelo a al tarjeta madre 4- acomodellelo y metale los tornillos 5- la enciende le da f2 o del para entrar al bios se fija si reconocio salga y guarde cambios y listo :idea:

DE HECHO YO NO FUI EL QUE LO TRATO DE INSTALAR, PERO EL COMPA QUE LO HIZO DICE QUE EL BIOS SI LO RECONOCE, PERO CUANDO EL MAE ENTRA A MIPC NO APARECE PERO ES UN DISCO QUE YO LE VENDI AL MAE ENTONCES ME INTERECE QUE LO CONOCTE PORQUE SI NO SE ME CAE EL NEGOCIO :-o

y cuando el mae entra en el BIOS q dice del disco duro? esta como primario, secundario esta activo o q dice

How to install a hard drive in Windows XP

Follow the manufacturers instructions and install the physical disk in your computer.
Boot your computer into Windows XP.
Windows XP should recognize that you have added additional hardware and display a new hardware ballon near your system clock.
Open Disk Management in Windows XP.
From the Desktop or Start Menu, right click on My Computer and select Manage. This will open the Computer Management window. Click on Storage and select Disk Management. (image)
Initialize the new drive.
Windows XP may launch the Partition Wizard to initialize the new drive. If so, skip ahead to the Partition Wizard step below. If not, right click on the new drive (it will be detailed as 'Not Initialized' and show a black bar to the right of it's properties) and select Initialize. This will prepare the new drive to be used by Windows. A simple wizard will be displayed to confirm your selection.
Right click on the drive's listing and select Partition. Follow the Partition wizard to finish the install process.
The wizard will prompt you for several responses (image 1, image 2)prior to creating the partition.
Finished! Once the drive has been initialized, partitioned, and formatted it will display as a healthy drive with the size and type of partition below the volume name and drive letter

Si es nuevo y va a trabajar como esclavo, pues puede ser que no venga formateado ni a bajo nivel o haya algun tipo de conflicto dentro del Windows.. Usa, inicio, panel de control, (suave que estoy usando una mac, para acordarme de memoria)Herramientas administrativas, y dentro de ahy de ultimo, adiministrador de discos. Hay es a prueba de errores, tiene que aparecer!!!, si esta pegando con alguna letra de unidad fisica pues lo cambias a otra y ya!! o no se, formatearlo de nuevo, etc, Creo que esto te servira para revisar que esta pasando

Esto debido a que no tengo mas datos de si el disco ya fue usado, tiene particion?, cuantas unidades fisicas tiene la compu, etc
