I was ordered to pay child support for my son in Costa Rica and complied with this until I left the country for personal reasons. I was then unable to make deposits in Costa Rica and have foregone this obligation. I have recently made contact with my son and have agreed in principle to pay child support again but the details now include a "bono escolar" equal to one month of child support to be paid in January with the month's child support as well as the "aguinaldo" and the month of December. Is this obligatory and is such an agreement enforceable in Costa Rica?
